| Thomas joined Rotary in Accrington in 1992 and was club President in 1999/2000 Thomas comes from an old Accrington family, on his father's side are several generations of butchers and meat traders from which he gets his business acumen, while his mother who went to Manchester University and became a teacher, has given him his caring and sensitive nature.He is the youngest of three brothers. Thomas is married to Judith and they have four children, all of whom live in London. Charlotte is an occupational therapist, Rebecca in recuitment as is Oliver , while Jonathan is an actor. Thomas has a very wide range of interests outside Rotary. when only 18 he became secretary of the Accrington Old Boys Association and he soon became a leading light in the Accrington Operatic and Dramatic Society, taking the lead in productions of South Pacific and Salad Days. Thomas is very active in his local church as Treasurer of the P.C.C. He is also a spokesman for the meat industry on both a regional and national level. |
