He is married to Ruth and they have two children, David andRachel, who are both married and live in Lancashire.
His first association with the District was as a member ofthe District Foundation Committee in 1992 and had the privilegeof leading the District's GSE Team to District 9300 in South Africain 1994. He then served as the District Foundation Chairman from1995 to 1998 and has since undertaken the role of District Secretary.
His interests, other than Rotary, include mountain walking,particularly in the Lake District, and following the mixed fortunesof Yorkshire County Cricket Team .
