The company Zulu Dawn Pty Ltd trading as Ranger Camping commenced trading in November 1987 having previously traded as a partnership since November 1985. Ranger Camping is part of the Australian camping industry, retailing quality outdoor camping products and accessories to general family campers, travelers and caravan users. Ranger Camping began as a small outlet in Wungong, a small suburb near Armadale, Perth. WA. The first real test for the partnership's credibility was at the Caravan and Camping show held in March 1986. Attending this and subsequent shows throughout the state was an important factor in increasing market awareness of the business during its formative years. With its competent staff committed to service and company growth, continuous advertising programmes, bulk purchasing resulting in a competitive pricing structure and gross margins, long term support by suppliers and written down company policies the company has expanded year after year to the dominant position that it currently holds in the specialist family camping market in Perth. The company operates three stores in Perth, viz Bentley, Balcatta and Morley trading 7 days per week. |
